The 6×K31WS-IWRC is a high-performance wire rope featuring compacted strands, Warrington-Seale (WS) construction with line contact, and an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC). It is specifically designed for applications involving extreme heavy loads, high-impact forces, and multi-layer winding.
The "K" designation indicates that the strands have undergone a compaction process after twisting. This results in an exceptionally smooth strand surface where the wires fit tightly together with virtually no gaps. The contact mode between wires within the strand is upgraded from "line contact" to "surface contact," significantly enhancing the metallic cross-sectional area, breaking strength, and crush resistance.
The combination of compacted strands and an IWRC allows the rope to deliver a breaking strength far superior to that of standard wire ropes of the same diameter, while the WS construction ensures excellent fatigue resistance.
